Building what comes next.
Today that same curiosity extends into bespoke software, AI-assisted development, smart workflows and digital products. The goal is to make useful things faster, smarter and more interesting, using AI where it helps.
DeGenerate AppsWe make things that exist somewhere between creative imagination, clever technology and the real world. Sometimes it's an app. Sometimes it's a brand. Sometimes it's a giant lion head.

I'm Nicholas Finn, the founder of DeGenerate Apps, a multidisciplinary creative studio built around one simple idea: good ideas shouldn't be limited by the tools you know.
My background doesn't fit neatly inside a single job title. Over the past eight years, I've worked across physical model making, digital design, e-commerce, animation, creative direction and software. More recently, AI development has opened up an entirely new playground.
What ties it together is the same process: understand the idea, find the right tools, and carry it all the way through to something real.
From mind to matter.
Whatever it takes to get there.
The most interesting projects rarely stay in one lane. These are the disciplines that have shaped how we think, design and build.

Websites, art direction, content, photography and conversion-focused design all belong in the same conversation. Nicholas has helped growing brands build their online presence and connect creative execution to meaningful commercial results.
In the world of crypto and Web3, Nicholas led the creative side of a project that went on to reach a $10 million market capitalisation, shaping how an ambitious digital idea looked, felt and communicated with its community.
Before everything became a screen, there was the satisfaction of making something tangible. From sculptural installations and prop making to 3D modelling, fabrication and hands-on finishing, Nicholas has built a practice around turning an idea into an object you can actually stand in front of.
Working across creative disciplines, from digital concepts to physical builds.

Approximate monthly revenue growth for a client, from £2k to £20k+, in under four months.
Exploring and building with AI to turn more ambitious ideas into working products.
Project market capitalisation is not company revenue or investment performance. E-commerce figures refer to a client project.
Physical making is part of our DNA. There is a particular kind of problem-solving that only happens when you're sanding, shaping, building and figuring it out in the real world.
DeGenerate Apps is a home for ambitious client projects, strange experiments and genuinely useful digital products. The name is playful. The approach is thorough.
We don't believe creative, technical and practical thinking should live in separate rooms. The best results happen when they collide.
